Mark Sunday, February 17 in your calendars.

That's the day the pool at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex in High River is scheduled to re-open.

The Town says the new LED lights are in place, the pool has been cleaned and is ready to be filled.

They say it takes a couple of days to fill, and then needs to be heated and chemically balanced, and then staff need to undergo some training before they throw open the doors.

To celebrate there's free swimming from 1 to 4 p.m. that day as part of the Town's Family Day festivities.
