New rates for recreation use approved by High River Town Council will affect the price of taking part in aqua fitness at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.

Recreation Administration and Programming Supervisor Tracy Morgan says the increase will be applied the next time you purchase a pass.

"The rate will be an extra fifty cents per session for the aqua fitness class," said Tracy Morgan. "That is to help cover the cost of the aqua fitness instructor."

For an annual pass, which has a value equivalent to 68 days of use but is useable for an entire year, the new aqua fitness charge adds $34 for all users, regardless of their age.

If someone has already purchased a pass they don't have to pay the increase until the next pass.
