Diploma and Provincial Achievement Test results showed some very positive results for students in the Christ the Redeemer School Division.

Superintendent Scott Morrison says the measurement they're most happy with is the satisfaction rate for the safe and caring nature of its schools.

"That's not something that's obvious to someone right away that would be something you value, but our rate was 94 cent and we're pretty certain that satisfaction rate is the highest in the province," Morrison says. "We think that the level of satisfaction with the safe and caring nature of our schools flows from the faith environment of the schools."

He says providing a safe and caring environment for students helps students to learn.

"I think when the students feel that they're safe and cared for that they feel there's a welcoming, inclusive environment then you get rid of a lot of the things that interfere with learning and they feel safe, they're focused on their studies and things just naturally go better," he says.

The results come from surveys of staff, students and parents.
