The long awaited update to the Town of High River's Land Use By-law moves another step forward Monday, April 3.
A Public Hearing will be held to gain input on the by-law which chops down the number of land use districts from 41 to just six.
The previous by-law set out rules for the number of parking spaces required for any project to receive a permit to go ahead.
Those with restaurant seating needed even more to accommodate their patrons.
That requirement for a minimum number will be dropped in favour of a maximum number instead.
The new by-law also includes a new flood map of the town laying out what can and can't be developed.
Feedback from the public hearing will be taken back and considered before the by-law gets second and third reading and is adopted.
The meeting starts at 3 P.M. at High River Town Hall.
