An Okotoks RCMP cruiser was involved in a collision around 7:40 Thursday morning.

It all started when an RCMP member approached a stolen vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.

The driver of the stolen vehicle attempted to run over two RCMP officers and then sped away and struck several parked cars, resulting in a pursuit by the RCMP.

During the pursuit, the RCMP vehicle was struck in an intersection at Northridge Drive and Elizabeth Street by a vehicle that was not involved in the chase.

The driver of the civilian vehicle was not injured.

The driver of the RCMP vehicle was transported to a local hospital with a broken arm, and has been treated and released.

Along with help from High River and Turner Valley RCMP a suspect vehicle was located.

Two men, aged 24 and 16-years-of age were arrested without incident, and are in police custody.

They are both facing multiple charges.
