Alberta RCMP are are partnering with Service Alberta and the Canada Revenue Agency for Fraud Prevention Month.

For the month of March they're focusing on raising awareness about the different types of fraud and recommendations on how people can protect themselves from becoming a victim.

Prevention tips include having strong online passwords, not leaving personal identification in vehicles, buying items from reputable companies online, and being cautious etransferring money.

All fraudulent incidents should be reported to local RCMP and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre by calling 1-888-495-8501 or online by clicking here.
