Foothills Mobility in High River was the victim of a large theft on Wednesday, December 29th.

Five youths entered the store at  5 p.m. and stole three display iPhones right out of the display.

Corporal Blair Schneider says RCMP are investigating the incident which is rare for High River.

"But it does happen," said Schneider. "It is a reminder to keep diligent of people who are coming into the store that are up to no good, it is just a reminder to watch these people closely."

Police confirm an iPhone 7 plus, iPhone 8 plus and and an iPhone X were stolen and that they are real phones not just empty display models.

"They don't have sim cards in them typically. They are on display and are ususally secured by a cable. They are the real deal."
