High River RCMP are on the lookout for a stolen "Tango" brand travel trailer lifted from a property on 104 St, South of High River.

The theft occurred on July 1 2018, around 11pm, where a white Dodge Ram was spotted scoping the property. Approximately one hour later, the truck re-entered the property and departed fifteen minutes later with the stolen trailer and a commercial bread delivery truck.

Later that night at 3am, the owner of the delivery truck spotted the vehicle near 5 St SE and 7Ave SE High River and contacted the police, who gave chase to the vehicles that headed towards Highway 2 in the direction of Calgary, but ceased the chase for public safety reasons.

The delivery truck was found abandoned near Okotoks the next day, but the travel trailer is still missing.

Sgt. Robin Alexander with the High River RCMP, is encouraging anyone with information to give them a call, and says increase in rural citizen vigilance is leading to greater success prosecuting criminals "We are solving a lot of crimes based on tips from the public, when they call maybe one or two times out of ten we are able to arrest someone where we otherwise wouldn't, so we encourage people to maintain that contact with us."
