One new face has entered the race for the UCP nomination in the Livingstone-Macleod riding.

Thomas Schneider from Okotoks has made it a three man race between himself, High River's Justin Murphy and Claresholm's Roger Reid.

Reid says as far as he's concerned the more the merrier.

"I'm excited to have another runner in the race. I think it's always good for us to have competition and choice and I think it puts everyone on their "A" game. So I think that's a beneficial thing for our riding."

Reid says there's still no date for party members to vote for who will get the nomination, but he expects it to happen this Fall.
