One of the UCP Candidates for the nomination in the Livingstone-Macleod Riding took in the sights and sounds of the Federal Conservative Party policy convention last week in Halifax.

Roger Reid says for him it was about getting on the same page with his potential federal counterparts.

"Both provincially and federally, a desire to have a united front with Conservatives to defeat the Liberals in 2019. We had a speech with Doug Ford and the turn in Ontario. We had Richard Martel who was recently elected in Chicoutimi, with the overwhelming support of the people of Quebec. Just exciting things for us I think as conservatives."

Reid is running for the nomination against High River's Justin Murphy.

No date has been set for the nomination vote yet, but Reid thinks it could come sometime in late September or October.
