Albertans will have a chance to say goodbye to former Lieutenant Governor Normie Kwong, who died on Saturday at the age of 86.

There will be a private funeral service followed by a public state memorial in Calgary on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016.

Details have not yet been announced.

Anyone wishing to send a message of support to, or share a memory with, the Kwong family is invited to sign condolence books.

In Calgary, condolence books are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday at the MacDougall Centre in Calgary until end of day Friday, Sept. 16.
