The Town of Turner Valley has almost wrapped up work on the Decalta Road Bridge.

The bridge which was wiped off the map during the 2013 flood was rebuilt quickly, but took a lot of work to finish off and protect from future flooding.

Turner Valley Mayor Kelly Tuck says it's great to finally have everything getting back to normal.

"Yeah, it's been completely paved, ready to go. It's been a long process for all of the residents, particularly the residents that have to use that road every single day, or that live on that road, it's been toughest on them. I'd like to say thank you very much for their patience. And we have a new pathway that's leading up onto that road. So, that's definitely a bonus for that community."

Tuck says whatever work remains when winter hits, which will be minimal, will be wrapped up in the spring.
