Hundreds of cyclists will take to local highways this weekend for the Enbridge Ride To Conquer Cancer.

Starting Aug. 12, cyclists from across Southern Alberta including Okotoks will ride from WinSport Canada Olympic Park in Calgary to Percy Pegler School in Okotoks where they will camp for the night.

On Sunday, Aug. 13, the riders will take the same route in reverse back to Calgary.

Cyclists will take Highway 22 for the majority of the route, passing through Bragg Creek, Priddis, and Millarville, before heading onto Highway 549 to Okotoks.

It's important drivers use extra caution, and take their time around the riders.
