Drivers and pedestrians are asked to take care while workers improve the streetlights on Macleod Trail between 7th and 8 street S.W. in High River.

K-Line is working on behalf of Fortis on the upgrades.

Work got underway Thursday, February 14, and will continue until Wednesday, February 20, excluding this weekend and Family Day Monday.

There will be lane and alleyway closures in the area and on Wednesday (20th), Macleod trail will be closed for two hours starting at 10 a.m. so crews can remove the overhead power lines.

During the road closure, vehicles will be detoured to the north using 5th Avenue S.W.

Residents are asked to use caution, reduce speed and obey all signage when travelling though the area.
