Another busy year for road construction in High River in 2017.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says they wrapped up their work downtown, much to the relief of everyone.

"This was the year we set to finalize downtown construction and get that all completed. So that was done early in the Spring. And of course doing Macleod Trail and the extension past Spitzee (Elementary School), was a disruption, but that's normal construction. That's not rebuild, that's not flood, that's just normal."

Snodgrass says moving to expropriate land along 12th Avenue for the Southwest berm was also a big item off their list in 2017.
