High River's Rowan House celebrated a milestone on Monday evening, with a Fifth Anniversary Celebration.

About 60 people joined in on the celebration at George Lane Park for food, cake and Indigenous entertainment.

Executive Director, Sherrie Botten, said she was pleased with how the evening went.

"It was great. We had great support from the community, and it was just our opportunity to thank the community again for supporting us so well over the past five years."

Botten said they had a number of special guests in attendance, including representation from all of the local governments, including High River, Okotoks, Black Diamond and Vulcan County.

Guests were given a short synopsis of all that Rowan House has accomplished over the past five years, and were thanked for their support.
