Rowan House is taking over the Foothills for November's Family Violence Prevention month, and with it comes a little testing of resident's knowledge around the issue.

Ally Cramm, Community Relations Coordinator, says their fact or fiction web series is a new addition to their family violence prevention month initiatives.

"Every Tuesday and Thursday, for the month of November, we're going to be putting up videos that ask people a statement about family violence, and then we'll ask them if it's true or false," she said.

Cramm says Rowan House's goal is to turn up the volume on the awareness of the issue by providing a question and answer series via social media platforms.

"They can fill out a poll, or answer in the comments, and we'll come back on and share the answer. They can learn something if they don't know much about the topic, or they can share how much they do know," she said.

A question will be posted on Rowan House's social media in the morning, with the answer being revealed around noon, following the answers posted by the public.
