Strathmore RCMP have laid several charges following a firearms complaint that led to a school lock-down Monday.
 
RCMP responded to a complaint from students at the school that a man had pointed a handgun at another person in the parking lot of the Strathmore Curling Club.

Police located suspects a short time later and arrested three men without incident.

Two young men, aged 15 and 16, have been charged with possession of a controlled substance and uttering threats.

They have been released, while 18-year-old Dawson Hoerdt has been remanded in custody facing eight criminal code offences;

-Two counts of uttering threats
-Assault with a weapon
-Pointing a firearm
-Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
-Use of a firearm in the commission of a criminal offence
-Possession of a controlled substance
-Failing to comply with condition of an undertaking (not to possess firearms)

Hoerdt will be back in court in Provincial Court in Strathmore June 20, 2017.
