The Town of Nanton started working on their three year capital budget plan at their last council meeting Monday, November 5.

Mayor Jennifer Handley says they have a large number of infrastructure needs they'll have to deal with, but nothing stands out more than the Town's water supply issues.

"Our biggest one of course is water and taking the sediment out of our reservoir. Right now the reservoirs, I think are 55 to 60 per cent full of sediments."

She says the need to get them cleaned out to increase their water storage capacity, but it's expensive, coming in at around $750,000.
