Storm clouds have been rolling over the Foothills for the better part of Thursday afternoon

After rain showers doused most areas of the Foothills on Wednesday, Environment Canada is warning more of the same could happen on Thursday.

Another severe thunderstorm warning has been issued across Southern Alberta, which is expected to conitinue into the early evening.

Here is the full release from Environment Canada:

"Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and continue into the early evening.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Stay indoors when a thunderstorm strikes. There isn't a place outside that is safe during a thunderstorm. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!"
