Turner Valley Mayor Kelly Tuck tells it like it is, more often than not.

And she's not really holding back her disappointment with the Provincial Government over their decision to not allow either Turner Valley or Black Diamond a seat at the Growth Management Board table for the Calgary area.

"It's past grinding my gears! It's once again this government saying very clearly that we don't have a voice, nor do they plan to ever give us one, because our population is under five thousand. So again, I truly take this as a slap in the face from this Province."

Tuck says given their close partnership with Black Diamond, the Province refused to look at them as one community and denied their requests to be heard at the board level.

Instead they'll be represented by the M.D. of Foothills in talks relating to future development in and around the Calgary area.
