Patience is going to be the word of the day if you're heading into the city Tuesday, October 2.

While we got some snow here in the Foothills, there's more on the ground in Calgary, which is going to make getting back and forth from and around the City a bit of a challenge, particularly as everyone tries to remember their winter driving skills.

Not much better to the west with roads into Kananaskis Country and the Mountain Parks seeing the most snow.

Travel advisories are in place for Banff, Kootenay and Yoho National parks.

We can expect the snow to last for the rest of the day, dropping another 10-to-20 centimetres of the white stuff before petering out overnight or early Wednesday, October 3.
