High River residents and Town Officials alike are keeping an eye on the mountains these days as the Spring run-off is just getting started.

The Town's Director of Emergency Management, Carly Benson, says the mountain snow pack is pretty much average right now.

"It's certainly not lower than anything we've ever seen before. When I was talking to Alberta Environment, they were drawing parallel's to 2005, 2011, 2010 kind of era. So, it's not an unprecedented amount of snowfall, but the rainfall this spring will really determine what our flood season looks like."

She says with a chance of more snow in the mountains over the next few weeks, it's still a guessing game as to how much and how fast the run-off will come this year.
