Driving anywhwere Wednesday, December 20, is not going to be easy.

There's 6-to-8 inches of snow on the ground already, and more on the way before this snow ends Wednesday afternoon.

Plow driver's we've talked to say the snow is coming down faster than they can move it.

They say Highways 2, 2A and 7 are in fair to poor driving condition, while secondary highways haven't seen too many plows overnight and aren't in great shape.

Bridge decks, run up's and merge lanes are also in poor shape on area highways.

In town the main roads have been plowed, but side streets are piled deep, and unless you have a truck, or really good winter tires on a smaller car you're not going to get too far.

Your best bet is to stay home, or delay going out until later in the day, and if you do go out, watch your speed, and be prepared for a long commute.
