Just like the kids getting out of school, Alberta's MLA's are are out for the summer.

Livingstone MacLeod MLA Pat Stier says he'll still be on the road.

"We're now away from Edmonton and the regular sessions, there's still committee work that goes on up in Edmonton from time to time, but now's the time for us to get out into the constituency and try to meet our friends out there again and try to see what's going on in the communities and see what people are concerned about, and be better armed to go back to the fall session and try to bring those ideas and solutions to the government and see if we can get them to bend on a few things," Stier says. "I'm crossing my fingers on that".

In the meantime he has a lot of parades and bar-b-ques to attend.

"This is when communities plan a lot of great activities to attend and I hope to be able to see a lot of them, " he says. "I've got 22 communities in my constituency so it's pretty hard to get everywhere but I'm going to do my best to do so."
