Strathmore RCMP are searching for answers in a hit and run collision that left a 13 year old girl with serious injuries.

Two teens were walking on Friday, February 17 at 5:40 P.M., on the side of 4th street in Langdon when a truck struck one of the girls flinging her into the ditch.

The victim was seriously injured and was air lifted to hospital by STARS air ambulance to hospital in Calgary.

Mounties are looking for a full sized, dark blue older dodge half ton, perhaps from the early 90's, with a headache rack covering the back window and a toolbox and a red slip tank in the bed

A short time after the collision, a vehicle matching the truck's description was seen in the ditch on Highway 24, south of Highway 1, where the driver as making frantic efforts to get unstuck.

Once the truck was freed it was spotted heading north towards the Trans Canada Highway.
