The Town of High River wants to know how residents feel about municipal enforcement.

Director of Community Services, Lisa Reinders, says the Town wants to hear about people's priorities.

"The Town wants to review its municipal enforcement model and we also wanted an opportunity for the public to give us information on what they think is important," Reinders says. "So what we've done is created an online survey to collect input from the residents and based on that information, it will help to guide our work on selecting a model that will meet the needs of the community."

Respondents will be asked if they're happy with the service, how familiar they are with it, how satisfied they are with the service and whether they've had direct interaction with it.

Reinders says the survey just pertains to municipal enforcement and not the RCMP.

"The Town of High River has the RCMP service, which provides traffic as well as crime prevention and then we have municipal enforcement which works directly more on town by-laws, so distressed properties, lost dogs and concerns about parking on residential streets," she says.

The survey closes September 6, 2016.

Reinders says after that a report will be compiled and sent on to town council later in the month.
