A pair of recent tax credits for small and large businesses from the Province could be good news for High River businesses.

That from High River Chamber President Steve Muth, who says anytime the government gives credits to generate investment into business is a good thing.

"That's money that gets into the economy and can be used to create jobs, create investment, create construction. And that is positive no matter what type of business or what type of industry it's geared to. It's positive at any level."

The Province announced a 30 per cent tax credit for investors who provide capital for small business.

The other initiative encourages larger scale capital projects which would create direct and spin-off jobs.

Muth says that one is tailor made for the industrial corridor between High River and Okotoks.

He says large scale businesses don't need to set up shop within the Town's borders for there to be economic gain from them.
