A unique opportunity for music lovers this weekend.

Mike McLean with the Bar U Ranch National Historic Site says they're going to do something a little different for them..

"We want you to shine up your boots because the Bar U has a cowboy concert coming up and that's Saturday Aug. 27, the doors open at 5 and the concert starts at 7 o'clock and runs until 9," he says.

He says if it's not the first such event at the ranch it;s certainly the first in a long time.

Blues artist Darren Johnson from Okotoks will open the show and he'll be followed by the band Bucking Horse Moon.

It costs $30 for the concert and McLean says patrons can show up at the gate with cash or you can go to www.baru.eventbrite.ca to buy tickets online.
