The Town of Black Diamonds CAO Joanne Irwin is retiring at the end of May.

Irwin has worked for the town for 16 years, eight of which she has been CAO.

Irwin says that some of her fondest memories is something most people wouldn't expect.

"As weird as it might sound is the times of need where everyone in town and in the community pulls together and get's everything they need done, done."

Irwin says that over her years she has pulled together a number of teams she is proud of, both with council and administration.

"I am pleased with the team work that is done between administration and council, they pull together very well and get things accomplished," Irwin says.

Irwin hopes that when she leaves the work continues to happen in the same manor.

"I hope that the teamwork, brainstorming, and thinking outside the box continues, along with the creativity the town is so well known for."

Her and her husband are moving out of town closer to where their cabin is located.
