The Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization is hoping to pack the hack Monday March 6 at the Highwood Curling Club in High River.

David Case with the group says they're holding their Curl For Kids event that night.

"We're asking people in and around High River to register a team of four individuals, if you're a bonspiel pro, you're welcome to show up, but if you're a total bonspiel newbie we want you there as well," Case says. "We're asking participants to fundraise with their friends, family, co-workers, a minimum amount of a $125 (each) to participate in the event".

He says it's going to be a lot of fun. There are two sessions with food and lots of prizes that have been donated for everyone who takes part.

"Big Brothers and Big Sisters, we are a mentoring organization, we believe and we know that mentoring has a real impact and can make a big difference in the life of children and youth," he says. "In High River we support 15 matches, so that's 15 one-to-one matches, 15 young people and 15 mentors who are out in the community."

Case says they're always looking for more mentors.
