Some days it doesn't seem like spring, but it is almost here.

Katrina Diebel, owner of Vale's Greenhouse in Black Diamond, says it is time to start cleaning up the yard.

"It is time to start tuning over the beds going thorough the gardens and seeing what the loss is," said Diebel.

She added most yards will have lost some plants over the winter due to age or perhaps it dried out.

Also check for plants you want to move and add peat moss to the beds.

Even if it does snow over the weekend don't let that stop you from digging in.

It's time to trim down the perennial plants left standing last winter, and till up the annual beds and vegetable garden beds.

"This snow is going to give a good boost with the moisture it has."

Once the snow is off you can do some lawn care by raking it up.

Diebel added there should be lots of plants starting to come up in the garden.

And give the grass a good rake, which will also help the mositure get to the roots and turn everything green.
