After taking a short summer break, it's full speed ahead again for High River Town Council.

There are lots of items on Monday's agenda, including a draft election-sign policy.

The policy looks at having designated areas for candidates to put up signs in public spaces.

Councillor Emile Blokland initially brought up the idea of putting a policy in place because he wants to reduce what he calls 'election litter.'

Also on the table is a delegation from the Community Garden Ad Hoc Committee.

Members of this committee are looking for feedback on locations for two new community gardens.

High River currently only has one garden at Sheppard Family Park; however, there's a waiting list to get a plot.

The committee wants Council to ask administration to prepare a report that will suggest possible locations, as well as how much each garden will cost the Town.

The regular council meeting gets underway at 3 p.m., and the public is welcome to attend.
