The Town of High River has some changes in operational hours for the Christmas Holidays.


Town Office, Operations, Recycling Centre, RCMP reception and Economic Development:

Monday, Dec. 25 – Closed
Tuesday, Dec. 26 – Closed
Monday, Jan. 1 – Closed

Essential services such as the Fire Department and RCMP response will not be impacted.

Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex

Sunday, Dec. 24 – Closed
Monday, Dec. 25 – Closed
Tuesday, Dec. 26 – Closed
Sunday, Dec. 31 – Closed 4-10 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 1 – Closed

Family and Community Support Services

Closed Monday, Dec. 25 to Friday, Dec. 29
Monday, Jan. 1 – Closed

Parent Link Centre

Closed Monday, Dec. 25 to Wed, Jan. 3.
Thursday, Jan. 4- Regular hours resume

There will be no changes to garbage pick-up over the holidays. Place your collection cart out on your regularly scheduled day before 7 a.m. and it will be picked up.

The Town of High River is encouraging residents to recycle their Christmas trees, wrapping paper and boxes after the holiday season.

The recycling centre and yard waste drop-off station is located at 640 7 Street N.W. Please be sure to remove all decorations and tinsel from the tree.

Winter hours will be 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., seven days a week as of December 22 (closed on statutory holidays). Please note the Recycling Centre will be open from 8 a.m. until 12 noon on Dec. 24.
