Town council has set aside a chunk of change, to ensure the continued maintenance of a very old building at Sheppard Family Park.

The 105 year old Munroe Barn, which greets guests at the entrance of the Sheppard Family Park recently needed the replacement of its upper level steel doors, on both sides of the building, due to the failure of a locking mechanism.

The Sheppard Family Park Society made the replacement, and went to town council on September 24 for reimbursment.

The $5600 bill came out of the capital infrastructure replacement fund.

The barn is officially owned by the town, but the society keeps it maintained, as the barn serves to host community functions and events.
