The Town of High River wants both the High River Tennis Club and local pickleball players to just get along.

The Town is looking at letting pickleball players use the tennis courts in the Summer, and having the two groups sign off on a new outdoor rate bylaw.

Parks Manager Craig Stanley says it makes sense from a financial point of view for both groups.

"I believe there are synergies there. And I think that's the big piece that people are overlooking is that, with more volunteers, let's say, available to help maintain the space, there's less of a demand for each club. So there's shared use and there's shared maintenance."

The tennis club, wants to talk with the pickleball people about their plans, but the pickleball people won't talk to the tennis club, until they've signed a deal with the Town.
