The High River Intregrated Traffic Unit had a routine stop turn into much more early on the morning of Tuesday, November 1.

Around 7 o'clock they pulled over a vehicle near Nanton, subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the driver for possession of a stolen vehicle and various drug related offences.

A 41 year old man from Calgary is facing 20 criminal code charges for possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance along with 23 provincial offence violations, relating to altering and producing invalid license plates from stolen ones.

The man is scheduled to appear in Fort MacLeod Provincial Court Wednesday, December 7.
