Foothills MP John Barlow is as frustrated as anyone over the deteriorating situation around Kinder Morgan's Trans-Mountain Pipeline.

He says a lack of action to get moving on a project that's been approved since 2016, makes people looking to invest in Canada very nervous.

"If the rule of law is not adhered to in one province, and activists are able to jeopardize a project that is a national jurisdiction and been approved by the federal government. Then why would any international investors, invest their money in Canada?"

In the face of Kinder Morgan pushing the "pause" button on the project, the Prime Minister and his cabinet have called an emergency meeting for Tuesday, April 10, to discuss the issue.
