The Town of Turner Valley was very happy with Thursday's announcement of Municipal Sustainability Initiative or MSI dollars from the Province.

Mayor Kelly Tuck says the Town will get $468,032, which is more than they thought they were getting.

"Just knowing that those dollars are going to be there for the community, that we're able to move on with some projects. Just being unclear over the past year what that was going to look like, it definitely kind of eases a little bit of burden."

The money is earmarked for infrastructure projects.

Tuck says they'll determine which projects when council resumes regular meetings in September.
