The Town of Turner Valley needs volunteers for their annual Family New Year's Eve Party.

Community Events Coordinator with the Town, Hazel Martin says it's only for a few hours.

"Our party runs from 5 to 8 p.m., but we do need some volunteers to help us out during the event with cookie decorating and the "smores" station. So all they need to do there is help handing out supplies and keeping the area tidy."

She says they also need help with:

Ensuring guest safety and fun on the outdoor rink as costumed skaters.
Providing general assistance in support of the event activities before, during and after the festivities.
Helping passengers load and unload the horse-drawn wagon ride.
Registering volunteers.

She says they'll break it into two shifts of two hours each, with everyone being done and off to enjoy their own new year's by 8:30.

And they'll even feed you during orientation.

If you can help out, call Hazel at the Town Office at (403)933-4944, or (403)369-4944 or by email at hazelm@turnervalley.ca
