McDonald's is teaming up with the High River United Way to help raise funds for the programs they support.

United Way Board Chair Kelly Selmser says the big day is Wednesday November 30.

"McDonald's was so kind and they reached out to us," Selmser says. " They are giving a dollar from each McMuffin, Big Mac, McChicken and Happy Meal that day will be donated to the United Way and all of that money stays in High River, it goes to local charities."

All day you can make an additional $2 donation to go towards their goal.

Selmser says some of the local charities they've helped are SNAPS, Food For Thought, Literacy for Life, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the brown bag lunch program.

Last year they handed out close to $75,000.
