There was a bit of excitement over at the CIBC bank in downtown High River Thursday morning.

Around 10:40 am, a small SUV crashed into the south wall of the building, and Deputy Fire Chief with the High River Department, Trevor Allan, said the women driving the vehicle wasn't injured.

"The driver of the vehicle was okay once we arrived on scene. EMS was there, and she refused any transport or any care from EMS."

Allan adds, there's no damage to the interior of the bank, but there was a bit of damage to the south wall.

The vehicle's a different story.

"Some pretty significant damage to the front end of the vehicle," said Allan. "The tow truck was ordered up to pull the vehicle away and she was able to carry on with her day from there."

The driver was the only person in the SUV.

Allan said, they don't see this often in High River, but it does happen.
