The Okotoks RCMP and RCMP Emergency Response Team are still on the scene in Heritage Lake Shores in De Winton.
They had responded to an emergency call earlier today.
RCMP Cpl. Curtis Peters says arrangements have been made to transport students who live in the neighbourhood to the lake house on Heritage Lake Boulevard after school today.

He says, although there is still restricted access to the area, the situation is currently isolated to a specific residence.

Peters adds that police hope to have the situation resolved shortly and that people will soon be able to return to area homes.

In the meantime, police continue to ask area residents to remain indoors and the public is reminded to keep clear of the area and to avoid sharing details of police movements and locations on social media.
