The Our High River group has received four formal applications under it's Community Vitality Fund.

Caitland Asmundson says the fund is available to local residents for ideas that will improve the community as a whole.

The first has come from some local youth.

"One of them is the youth, Banksy-style street art that's going to be happening downtown in the next few weeks," she says. "That's why I love youth, because they come up with ideas that no one else would ever think about and that's going to bring some cool vitality to our downtown."

Others include support for the  Hand Made market on Sunday in downtown High River and the Little Free Libraries where people put up stands outside their homes and people can take and leave books to share.

She says there's also talk of a Little Free Games library in the downtown so families can share games to bring people together for some fun activities.
