Growth, usually the lack of it, is always a cause for concern for small town's in Southern Alberta.

That was a concern of about 50 voters who came out to quiz prospective councillors in the council forum in Vulcan Wednesday, October 4.

Vulcan Mayor Tom Grant, who's already been acclaimed for another term in office, says growth is coming to his community, just at a slower pace than others.

"It wasn't that many years ago that Okotoks was going to disappear because it didn't have the population growth, but now look how it's doing. I think our turn is coming. We see it in High River, we see it coming down the pike. And hopefully these people that have concerns and questions will bring them forward when we do have an opportunity to voice their views."

Other issues raised at the forum are the Town's aging infrastructure and bringing in new businesses.
