A busy weekend for Vulcan Tourism and the Trekcetera Museum as they spread the word about what's happening here in the Foothills at the Edmonton Expo.

Vulcan Tourism Manager Devan Daniels says they surpassed their sales expectations in the first day.

"It's been an incredible show this year. Every year the Edmonton attendance gets higher and higher. We're having a phenomenal show so far. This weekend we're very pleased with the results. The people here are fantastic."

Trekcetera Museum Owner Michael Mangold says it's great to see lot's of familiar faces, but he particularly likes educating those who didn't know Vulcan was there.

"We're way up here in Edmonton, but not everyone knows we exist, and when they do they get very excited. So, I plan their road trips to come down to see us and it's great because you see people showing up in all their different coloured uniform shirts, so you can just imagine that road trip. It'd be a ton of fun!"

Daniels says every year they're seeing more and more people from the Edmonton region coming to Vulcan for Vul-Con, or to just check out the Town on their way somewhere else.
