Looks like Santa won't have any problems landing his sleigh around the Foothills this year.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement saying we're going to see some big changes to our weather over the next few days.

They say a Pacific low is moving into the area from the South, bringing snow and cold weather.

About 10 to 30 cm of snow is expected starting Monday, December 18 and running through to the evening of Wednesday, December 20.

Forecasters say the most snow will fall in the mountains and along the eastern slopes.

Regions to the east will see less snow.
