The Town of High River is busy dealing with a water main break in the town's far southeast end.

The break happened this afternoon, Thursday January 31, and there are crews on scene working to fix the problem.

They've had to reduce traffic on 20th Street SE between 7th and 9th Avenues to one lane of alternating traffic to allow crews to work.

The break is on the road between the UFA and Lutes Building Centre.

And the Town says they'll keep it to just one lane until early tomorrow morning.

Area residents shouldn't have any water disruptions but businesses in the area might experience a brief disruption.
