It's no secret the Town of High River is going to have to replace the swimming pool at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex sooner rather than later.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says they've already held an open house on the future of the pool and the Rec-Plex as they try to get a feel for what residents would like to see before moving forward.

"They've taken that information back, there'll be another open house and then that'll come back to Council in January, February and we'll tie it into our strategic planning and really pinpoint what we're doing and get going on it."

Snodgrass says they'll hold a couple more open houses to get more feedback.

He says however, doing nothing is not an option as the clock ticks down on the pool's life span.

He says the big question at this point though is "How to do it and how to pay for it."
