The Okotoks Museum and Archives wants to know what you love about our nation in their latest project.

The "I Love Canada Because..." project, celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Great White North and it launched at the museum on Saturday, January 14.

Kathy Coutts, museum specialist, says the project allows Okotokians to celebrate Canada through sticky notes.

"We are encouraging people to write a little message on why they love Canada and to stick it in our picture window in the attic. Our goal is at the end of the year these sticky notes will create a giant Canada flag."

Coutts says museum goers can participate in the patriotic festivities any time the building is open.

"The museum is open 10 a.m. till 5 p.m., Tuesday till Saturday. So anytime during our regular hours people are welcome to come in, come into the attic, jot down their little message on the sticky note and stick it on the window."

A couple days into the project a few people have joined in the fun and Coutts says there have been a couple favorites people have picked.

"So far people have said they love Canada because of the people and the natural beauty."
